NLP Breakthrough Sessions Our Head Coach Joanna Sherwell is trained in Neuro Lingusitc Programing by one of the leading training schools in the world, Leadervision. Utilising the studies of Neurology and Hypnotherapy, NLP Breakthrough Sessions are the most powerful way to create change on a deeply internal level, both rapidly and comfortably. Unlike Coaching, NLP sessions work directly with the unconscious mind, sometimes known as the subconsious, intuition, the voice within, a sense inside, and so on. You will have your own idea of what this is, but we all know it's there. The premise of NLP is that we all have internal progaming in the mind which has developed throughout our lives; via the influence of our upbringing, environment, experiences, values and beliefs. Like a computer, the mind and brain create patterns of thinking and behaviour which it runs repeatedly, lessening the energy it needs to create new patterns. These patterns are what keep us behaving in ways that aren't good for us, getting ourselves into unresourceful states, and feeling out of control of our internal and external lives. As you can imagine running these same unresourceful patterns repeatedly, day after day, can affect our personal, professional lives, and our health and wellbeing. The processes used in an NLP session identify these patterns and deal with them directly, allowing the mind to re-align it's stucture to a higher level of functioning. When the mind is allowed to change and develop, it simply loses interest in continuing old self destructive patterns, and makes more resourceful choices in any given situation. Book your session now Often we try to mask or re-direct our own unresourceful patterns without even being aware that we are doing it, by turning our attention to alcohol, sex, drugs, television, food, sports, negative emotions, mental analysis, sleep, sickness... and many more. Although this tactic may work momentarily, distracting us from what's going on inside, avoiding the messages our unconsious is trying so hard to get across, actually encourages it to yell even louder to get our attention. This is what is known as 'stress manifesting in the body'; you may have heard the theories on illnesses being a result of our mental processing and internal turmoil. You may not feel substantially sick right now however if you feel the slightest sign of stress or mental discomfort, this is your brain telling you "Act now, clean me up in here, I'm holding onto alot of old stuff that is making me sick, help!" NLP is the process of re-integration and reprograming of the deepest recesses of our mind. Amazingly, with rapid and dramatic results, that feeling of being out of control and at the mercy of your negative thoughts, transforms into a sense that your brain is working for you, that you are the driver of the ship. This new way of thinking and feeling inculdes the ability to handle more of what comes at you from the world without resorting to dysfunctional coping mechansims, and without the emergance of health related problems. As a result, anger, fear, depression, anxiety, low self esteem, problems with communication, substance abuse, and many all other unresourceful feelings and strategies are resolved and released. Often these changes are not obvious until a later time when you may notice yourself behaving in a totally new way to a sitution that was once challenging or stressful. An NLP session explores and is directed by the following areas: 1. The structure of your unconscious mind and your internal map of who you are 2. The state of your nervous system 3. The degree to which you embrace the changes and relax into the process Our NLP is done in a highly relaxed physical and mental state, and as we are working with the programing of your mind as opposed to the content of your mind, we really dont need you to tell us much about the problem unless you feel you need to. In this way NLP is sometimes preferred over other verbal types of therapy as your inner most secrets can remain your own, the results can be even more powerful when we bypass the emotions that are caught up the story of your life. This is one of the strongest differences between NLP and other therapies such as Psychology or Counselling. Each session is up to 2 hours and we will come to you providing you are in Melbourne. Sessions are $200. For phone sessions using NLP we recommend booking a basic package of 3 coaching sessions and mentioning that you would like majority of the coaching to be NLP work.
